In hibooks, in the banking section, you can choose your currency for every bank account that you create in the system. Also, when you match a transaction in Banking, the difference of the currency rate will be shown between when you create the transaction and when you are completing the match. How do I Choose the Currency of a new bank account ?
To access the page, select Banking from the sidebar menu.
You will land on your default bank account. You can then add a bank account in two ways.
Either click on the arrow next your default account and then on Add Account.
Or click on Manage Account and then on Add Account.
Choose the currency you want for your new bank account. Your base currency appears by default but you can choose any currency available in the world.
How does Multicurrency work when matching a transaction ?
When you are matching a transaction in Banking, the difference of the currency rate will be shown between when you created the transaction and when you are completing the match.
To do this, on your Banking page click on Reconcile Transactions.
Choose a transaction where you want to find a match. Click on the arrow and then on Search a Match.
Confirm your match by ticking the tickbox of that transaction. It's possible to match with multiple transactions at the same time.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and tick the Paid in Full tickbox.
Click on Match.
An amount will appear which represents the difference between the exchange rate of when you created the transaction and when you are completing the match. Click on Confirm to pay the invoice in full and accept the difference.
