This document describes the following guides for users on how to take a photo of receipt:

First of all, choose a good-lighted place or use a flashlight on your smartphone. 

Then place the receipt with right orientation on a flat solid non-transparent surface.

Finally, while taking a photo pay attention to the distance from the receipt to the camera — receipt should occupy the major part of the photo as possible. No other text should be visible on the photo.

Receipt must be:

The receipt should have bright text without any spots.

 The place where you are taking a photo should have good-lighted conditions and there should be no shadows and no noise on the receipt.

The receipt should have clear and contrast text and logos. Please don’t move the camera while taking pictures.

Please avoid significant non-linear distortion of the receipt. I.e. all four sides of the receipts should form a rectangle with right angles. For this, the phone and the receipt must be in parallel planes.

It is not allowed that text from the back side of the receipt can be seen through the paper on the front side.

A receipt should be on a flat solid surface large enough and with no gaps. It is not recommended to put the receipt on your knees or hold it in your hands while taking a photo.

he receipt should be flat — not bent or folded.

There should be no other objects on the receipt.

When you have a big receipt with an empty area on it you should take a photo only of significant information without capturing empty areas or areas with non-important data. It will allow keeping a good resolution for the important data.
