Supplier Credit Notes in hibooks allow you to create Credit notes when goods or services are refunded or are faulty. You can create as many as you want in the system.

How do I create a new Supplier Credit Note ?
First you must select Sales from the side bar menu and then Invoices from the drop-down menu.
Select Add New and then Credit Note.
Contact and Date
Contact : select the contact who is the supplier. You can create a new contact by clicking on Add Contact. Learn how to create a contact here.
Issue Date : date the credit note was issued to the business.
Address : the address should correspond to your contact's information. You can change it by clicking on Edit Contact Details.
Credit Note Number : the system automatically provides you with one but you can change it if you wish to as long as it is not already used.
Currency : the base currency is by default the one you chose when you created the business in hibooks, but you can select any currency in the world available for your credit note.
Tags : you can associate your new credit note to tags created in the system.
Item
Description : enter a description for the item. You can choose from an item you created in Items and Products.
Account : select the right account for your new supplier credit note. If you wish to create a new one, click on Add Account.
Quantity : the number of that product or service credited.
Unit Cost : the cost of the individual product or service.
VAT Rate : select the correct VAT rate for the credit note.
Add Item : you can create an another item in the credit note by clicking on Add Item.
Optional Information
Files : by clicking on this button you can attach files from your device which you want to link to the credit note for example a return note for goods sent back.
Comment : you can also add a comment which you feel is important to your new credit note like information on why the credit note was issued.
How do I Save the Credit Note ?
If you are happy with your Credit Note, you can click on Save & Approve and the Credit Note will be added to the All Invoices tab.
If the information of the Credit Note is incomplete or if you want to finish it later, you can click on Save and you will find the Credit Note in drafts.
