How do I Archive an Account in Chart of Accounts ?

In hibooks, you can only archive an account in Chart of Accounts if it has nothing on it. You can't archive one from the system that is already there and you can't archive one that has had any transactions. Learn how to create a new account in Chart of Accounts and how to manage Chart of Accounts.

How do I Archive an Account in Chart of Accounts ?

  • First you must access the page by clicking on Accounting from the side bar menu and then on Chart of Accounts from the drop-down menu.

In the system, there are two ways of archiving an account in Chart of Accounts :

  • You can do it individually by clicking on the button with three dots of the account in Chart of Accounts you want to archive and then selecting Archive.

  • Or you can do it in bulk, by ticking the tickbox at the top left and ticking as many as you want to archive and then clicking on Archive.

  • In both cases you must confirm by clicking on Yes and you will find your account in Chart of Accounts in the Archived tab where you can delete or restore them.

How do I Restore an Account in Chart of Accounts ?

In the Archived tab, you can also restore an account in Chart of Accounts in two ways.

  • You can do it individually by clicking on the button with three dots of the account in Chart of Accounts you want to restore and then on Restore.

  • Or you can do it in bulk, by ticking the tickbox at the top left and then ticking as many as you want and then clicking on Restore.

  • In both cases you must confirm by clicking on Yes and you will find your account in Chart of Accounts back in the All Accounts tab.
